Use Snapchat on a Windows PC or Mac
Source-checked About 10 minutes
Answer
Use Snapchat for Web in a supported desktop browser for available chat and call features. Avoid emulators and unofficial desktop apps.
Before you start
Use web.snapchat.com in a browser currently supported by Snapchat and keep the phone available for any security confirmation. The web experience supports only the features Snapchat exposes there and is not identical to the mobile app.
Open Snapchat for Web
On your computer, open Snapchat for Web in a supported browser. Open Snapchat for Web directly rather than downloading an emulator, extension, or desktop installer from an unrelated site.
Sign in securely
Sign in to the intended Snapchat account and complete the displayed security checks. Verify the account, browser prompt, camera, and microphone permissions before signing in or starting a call.
Use desktop-supported features
Use chat, calls, and other features that Snapchat makes available in the web experience. Use chat, calls, and the other controls shown in the web client while keeping private Snaps and account credentials within Snapchat's service.
Verify the result
Send a harmless chat and test call controls, then sign out if the computer is shared. Review the browser's saved-password and site-permission state before leaving it.
Troubleshoot Snapchat for Web
If the browser is unsupported or a feature is absent, update or use Snapchat's listed browser and check service availability. Clear only Snapchat site data after preserving sign-in access. Do not switch to BlueStacks as an unofficial workaround. For calls, grant camera and microphone access only to web.snapchat.com and close the browser tab after use on a borrowed computer.
