How to Change your Supercell ID Email on Clash of Clans

Source-checked About 10 minutes

Answer

In Clash of Clans, open Settings > Supercell ID, tap the cogwheel, open the Settings tab, and tap Change Email beside the current address. The new address must be one you control, must not already be connected to a Supercell ID, and must use a supported email domain; if you cannot access the current address or Change Email is disabled for an unsecured account, use in-game Supercell Support instead.

Prepare an eligible new address

Use an email address you control that is not already connected to any Supercell ID. Keep both inboxes private; Supercell ID uses emailed verification codes rather than an account password, and some higher-risk email domains are unsupported.

Open the correct Clash account

Launch Clash of Clans and confirm the village name and player tag before changing anything, then tap the in-game Settings button and choose Supercell ID. The Supercell ID panel should show that this village is connected.

Open Change Email

Tap the cogwheel in the Supercell ID panel, open the Settings tab, and tap Change Email beside the current address. If that control is absent, do not unlink the village or create another Supercell ID; use the recovery step below.

Verify the current address

Choose Yes when asked whether you can access the current Supercell ID email, then enter the verification code Supercell sends there. Use only the newest code and enter it in the in-game Supercell ID screen; never send it in chat, email, or a screenshot.

Complete and confirm the change

Follow Supercell's remaining on-screen prompts with the eligible new address and finish the change once. Reopen Supercell ID > cogwheel > Settings and confirm the masked address now matches the new inbox before closing the game.

Use in-game support when access is missing

If you cannot receive mail at the current address, open Clash of Clans Settings > Help and Info, tap the menu in the top-right, and choose Leave a message. Give Supercell only the ownership information requested inside that ticket; do not share a verification or recovery code outside in-game Support.

If it does not work

  • If no code arrives, confirm the masked current address, check spam, and request only one newer code; Supercell says only the latest verification code works.
  • If the new address is rejected, use a different address that is not already tied to Supercell ID and is not on an unsupported domain.
  • If Change Email is disabled, Supercell may classify the account as unsecured; use the in-game support path rather than repeatedly requesting codes or paying a third party.
  • If the wrong village is open, stop before entering a code and return to the account selector; the change applies to the Supercell ID connected to the currently loaded game account.
Sources and verification

The retained 2023 video may show older Supercell ID screens. Use the current written Settings > Supercell ID > cogwheel > Settings > Change Email path when the video differs, and never display or narrate a verification code.
