Clash of Clans - Connection Lost Error Fix (Server Error)

Source-checked About 10 minutes

Answer

A Clash of Clans Connection Lost message usually means the game cannot maintain a stable connection or Supercell is in maintenance. Move to reliable Wi-Fi or mobile data, wait if a maintenance message is shown, update the game, close background apps, and test from your village before entering another battle. A disconnect during a live battle can still count as an attack or defense.

Guide steps5 steps
  1. Identify the message
  2. Use a stable network
  3. Check for maintenance
  4. Refresh the supported app
  5. Verify before another battle
  6. If it still does not work

Identify the message

Read the warning before retrying. If Clash of Clans explicitly says it is under maintenance, wait for maintenance to finish. If it says Connection Lost or repeatedly reconnects, continue with the network checks below.

Use a stable network

Move closer to the Wi-Fi router or switch once between reliable Wi-Fi and mobile data. Avoid starting a battle while moving between networks or when the signal is weak; Clash of Clans needs a continuous connection.

Check for maintenance

If the same failure occurs on both Wi-Fi and mobile data, check the current in-game maintenance notice or Supercell's official channels. Do not reinstall or change account settings while the service itself is unavailable.

Refresh the supported app

Install the latest Clash of Clans update, close other active apps, and restart the device. On Android, clear the Clash of Clans cache only, not app storage or game data, then reopen the game.

Verify before another battle

Load the village and wait for it to remain connected, then open another screen such as the Shop and return. Success means the connection warning no longer appears and changes sync normally; test this before starting a high-stakes attack.

If it does not work

  • If Clash of Clans reports that the client and server are out of sync, close and reopen the current app after confirming no update or maintenance is pending.
  • If only one network fails, restart that router or ask the carrier or network owner about filtering; repeated reinstalling will not repair the connection.
  • If the device runs below Android 7 or iOS 15, or is an Amazon device, move the village through Supercell ID to a currently supported device.
