At Town Hall 11 or higher, tap the Super Troop barrel beside the Trader, choose an eligible troop, and activate it with Dark Elixir or a Super Potion. The boost lasts three days. You can normally have two Super Troops active at once, or up to three during a qualifying Super Troop event; Town Hall 9 and 10 players can receive them as donations but cannot activate them.
Confirm the village is Town Hall 11 or higher and the regular version of the troop meets the level shown on its Super Troop card. Town Hall 9 and 10 villages can receive eligible Super Troops as donations but cannot activate them.

Open the Super Troop barrel
Tap the barrel-shaped Super Troop building beside the Trader in the Home Village. The panel lists the troops available to your current Town Hall and Laboratory progress.
Select the Super Troop you want and review its required base-troop level, abilities, activation price, and timer. A greyed-out troop is not yet eligible.
4
Confirm the activation
Pay the displayed Dark Elixir amount or use a Super Potion. The activation lasts three days; you can keep training the regular troop during that period. Normally, no more than two Super Troops can be active together.
5
Verify the active troop
Reopen the Super Troop panel and confirm the troop shows an active countdown, then open the Army training screen and verify it is available. Success means the three-day timer is running and the troop can be added to the army.
If it does not work
If a troop is unavailable, upgrade its regular version to the level shown on the Super Troop card and check that the village is Town Hall 11 or higher.
If activation is blocked after one boost, check whether two Super Troops are already active; the normal limit is two, with a third allowed only during a qualifying event.
If you cancel an active Super Troop, Supercell does not refund the activation cost and removes that Super Troop from your army camps.
