In Survival, you cannot craft an End Portal; use Eyes of Ender to find a stronghold and fill its portal frame. In Creative, place 12 End Portal Frames as a 3-by-3 ring while standing inside the empty center so every frame faces inward, then insert an Eye of Ender into each frame.

For a normal Survival world, prepare Eyes of Ender and search for a stronghold. For a Creative test, select End Portal Frame and Eye of Ender blocks.

Find the portal in Survival
Throw an Eye of Ender, follow its direction, and repeat at intervals. Dig carefully when it begins travelling downward, then explore the stronghold for the portal room.

Complete a found frame
Destroy the silverfish spawner only if you choose, then place Eyes of Ender into every empty portal frame block. The portal activates when all 12 contain eyes.

Build a Creative ring
Clear a 5-by-5 area. Stand in the central 3-by-3 opening and place three frames along each of four sides, leaving the corners empty.

Check frame direction
Every frame's decorative tabs should point toward the empty center. Break and replace any frame that faces outward.

Insert the Eyes
Still working around the ring, place one Eye of Ender into each of the 12 frames. The black portal surface should fill the center.

Test safely
Store valuable items and set a return plan before entering. In Creative, make a world copy before testing commands or unusual builds.
If it does not work
If the Creative portal does not activate, remove every frame and rebuild while standing inside the center.
If Eyes of Ender lead far away, keep extras because some can break when thrown.
In Survival, never dig straight down while following an Eye; use a staircase to avoid caves and lava.
