When Free Fire stays on its loading screen or stops responding, close it completely, restart the phone, check free internal storage, and install the current official app update. Test one stable connection with the VPN off. If the game menu opens, use Smooth graphics, Normal High FPS, and turn Auto Scale off before considering a reinstall.
Open the phone's recent-apps screen and swipe Free Fire away so it is no longer running. Reopen it once. If the same loading screen returns, restart the phone before changing any game files or account settings.
2
Check internal storage
Open the phone's storage settings and make sure there is room for the game to unpack an update and create temporary files. Internal storage means the space built into the phone, not cloud storage. Remove or move files you recognize if the phone is nearly full.
3
Install the current official update
Open Google Play or the App Store and update Free Fire from its official listing. Finish any operating-system update offered by the phone maker, restart the phone, and test again. Avoid unofficial APK files or modified clients.
4
Test a stable connection
Pause downloads, close background apps, turn off any VPN, and try Free Fire on one strong connection. If it still hangs, compare Wi-Fi with mobile data. A result that changes with the network points to a connection problem rather than damaged game files.
5
Lower the in-game load if menus open
If you can reach Settings, choose Smooth graphics, set High FPS to Normal, and turn Auto Scale off. These options reduce the amount of work the phone must do. Close and reopen the game after applying them.
6
Reinstall only after protecting the account
Confirm that the account is linked to a login method you can access, because an unbound guest account may not survive a reinstall. Then remove Free Fire, reinstall it from the official store, sign in, and test before restoring high graphics settings.
If the game loads on one network but not another, keep the working connection for the test and contact the other network provider.
If it still freezes after a clean official install, report the phone model, operating-system version, Free Fire version, free storage, connection type, and the exact point where loading stops.
