Choose the identity field
The username is a unique account identifier; display name and server nicknames are separate visible names.
Open account settings
Go to User Settings > My Account or Profiles and select Edit beside the field you intend to change.
Enter and confirm
Use an available allowed username or display name, enter the password if requested, and save.
Check server-specific names
Change a server profile nickname separately where permitted and allow caches to refresh; avoid impersonation or personal information.
