Set Up a Friendly Battle in Brawl Stars

Source-checked About 10 minutes

Answer

From the Brawl Stars home screen, open the hamburger menu and select Friendly Battle. Choose an event, invite friends or Club members, disable unwanted bot slots with their power buttons, adjust match rules with the wrench, and tap Play. Friendly Battles use fully upgraded Brawlers and do not award Trophies.

Guide steps5 steps
  1. Open a Friendly Battle
  2. Choose the event
  3. Invite the players
  4. Configure the slots and rules
  5. Start and verify the match
  6. If it still does not work

Open a Friendly Battle

From the Brawl Stars home screen, tap the hamburger menu in the upper-right corner and select Friendly Battle. The private lobby opens with an event selector, player slots, and the Play button.

Choose the event

Tap the event selector and choose the mode or map you want to play. The available player count depends on the selected event.

Invite the players

Tap Invite to add online Friends or Club members. If you need a shareable room, use the current Team Code, QR code, or link option shown in the lobby.

Configure the slots and rules

Tap the power button on any slot you want to disable, or leave bots enabled to fill it. Tap the wrench in the upper-left corner to change the rules available for that event.

Start and verify the match

Confirm the intended players, teams, event, and rules, then tap Play. Success means the selected Friendly Battle loads with the configured roster; no Trophies are gained or lost, and Brawlers are fully upgraded for the match.

If it does not work

  • If Play is unavailable, make sure every required player is ready and that the chosen event has a valid number of active slots.
  • If an invited player cannot join, create a fresh Team Code, QR code, or link and confirm they are using the same current game version.
  • If a bot still appears, return to the lobby and tap that slot's power button before starting the next match.
