Fix an Unexpected Login Session Error in League of Legends

When League says “There was an unexpected error with the login session,” press Alt + F4 and choose Sign Out, not Exit. Then open Task Manager with Ctrl + Shift + Esc, end every RiotClientServices.exe and LeagueofLegends.exe process, reopen the Riot Client, and sign in again. Check region, service status, and Windows time
If the exact message still returns, confirm the Riot Client is using the account's League region, check Riot status for that region, and open Windows Settings > Time & language > Date & time > Sync now. Retry after an active incident clears or the clock is synchronized.
If it does not work
If Alt + F4 closes the client without offering Sign Out, reopen it, use the profile menu to sign out, then close the two named process types in Task Manager.
