On a 64-bit Windows 10 PC, install and sign in to Steam, open PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS' official Steam page, select Play Game, choose a Steam Library location, and wait for Downloads to finish. PUBG is free to play; its current minimum requirement is 40 GB of available storage, while Steam recommends 50 GB.
Confirm the PC runs 64-bit Windows 10 or later, has at least 8 GB of memory, DirectX 11, broadband internet, and 40 GB of available storage. Steam currently recommends 16 GB of memory and 50 GB of storage.

Install or open Steam
If Steam is not installed, download it from Valve's official Install Steam page and run the installer. Open Steam and sign in to the account that should keep the game in its Library.

Open the official PUBG listing
Open PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS in the Steam Store and select Play Game. Confirm the listing names PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS and identifies KRAFTON as its publisher before continuing.

Choose where to install it
Let the Steam client open, select a configured Steam Library location with enough free space, and confirm the installation. Steam manages the game download; there is no separate PUBG installer or checksum to find.

Wait for Downloads to finish
Open Downloads at the bottom of Steam, or choose View > Downloads, and keep the PC connected until PUBG shows as complete. Do not treat temporary disk activity with zero network transfer as a failed download.

Launch PUBG from Library
Open Library, select PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, and choose Play. Installation is complete when the game opens to its main menu or lobby without an installation error.
If it does not work
If Play Game does not open Steam, install or open the official Steam client first, then return to the official PUBG listing and select Play Game again.
If the selected location lacks space, cancel before download and choose another configured Steam Library folder with at least the listed requirement available.
If Downloads remains queued, stuck, or unusually slow, use the linked Steam download guide instead of reinstalling PUBG.
If the download completes but PUBG will not open, use Library > PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS > Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files, then keep the exact remaining error for PUBG Support.
