Clear Epic's optional startup commands

Empty Rockstar's Launch arguments
Open Rockstar Games Launcher > Settings and select Grand Theft Auto V under My installed games. Scroll to Launch arguments and delete everything in the box. Close Settings, return to Epic Games Launcher, and start GTA V from its Library page rather than a desktop shortcut.

Confirm that both launchers work together
Wait for Rockstar Games Launcher to finish signing in and start GTA V. When the title screen appears, close the game normally and launch it from Epic once more. The error is resolved when Epic opens Rockstar Games Launcher and the GTA V title screen appears on both attempts.

Read GTA V's launcher log if it still fails
Open %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTAV\launcher.log and keep the newest copy. Send it to Rockstar Support with a screenshot of the exact message, the installed edition name from Epic, and DxDiag and MSInfo reports. DxDiag lists the PC's graphics and sound hardware, while MSInfo includes Windows error reports. Do not uninstall a second GTA edition or change audio hardware unless the new error specifically identifies it.
If it does not work
If Verify finds files, let Epic download them fully before launching GTA V; a completed scan with a pending download is not a completed repair.
If the message changes to a C++, D3D, or DirectX error, run the matching installer from GTA V's Redistributables folder, which Rockstar includes for this exact component condition.
If the title screen opens but GTA V later crashes in a mission or GTA Online activity, use the crash workflow and record that repeatable action; this launch error has already been cleared.
