Master Duel does not publish a built-in FPS counter. Use Steam's Performance Overlay instead: open Steam Settings > In Game, choose a Performance Overlay level and position, then launch Master Duel. Return from any duel and close the game so Steam can apply the overlay cleanly.

Choose the overlay detail

Select Single FPS Value for a small counter, or a higher detail level if you also need frame-time, CPU, GPU, or memory information.

Choose a screen position

Pick a corner that will not cover card text or duel controls. Adjust text size and contrast if those options are shown.

Launch Master Duel

Start the game from the Steam Library and confirm the counter appears. Steam's overlay must be enabled for the game.

Measure one repeatable scene

Use the same Solo duel, board state, window mode, and resolution for each check. Record the FPS after the scene settles.

Turn the overlay off when finished

Return to Steam Settings > In Game and disable the Performance Overlay, or choose the off level, when you no longer need it.

If it does not work

  • If the counter is missing, confirm Steam's in-game overlay is enabled globally and for Master Duel, then restart both Steam and the game.
  • If only the small FPS value is needed, avoid a full hardware overlay that blocks card information.
  • A stable FPS counter does not measure internet delay; connection lag needs a separate network check.
