Source-checked About 3 minutes

Answer

Open Master Duel's Submenu, choose Game Settings, and look under Duel for Automatically Display Card Descriptions. Set it to Show if that label is present, save, then start a Solo duel and select a card to verify the description panel. Konami does not publish the current menu path, so follow the labels shown in your installed version if they differ.

Before you continue
  • Open Game SettingsUse Master Duel's own Submenu.
  • Look under DuelThe older saved label is Automatically Display Card Descriptions.
  • Test in SoloSelect a card and check that its text panel opens.
Guide steps6 steps
  1. Open the correct game and account
  2. Open the Submenu
  3. Open the Duel settings
  4. Find the description setting
  5. Choose Show and save
  6. Verify in Solo mode
  7. If it still does not work

Open the correct game and account

Launch Master Duel on the device and profile where you want the setting to apply.

Open the Submenu

From the main screen, open Submenu or the current menu button, then choose Game Settings.

Open the Duel settings

Look for Duel, Duel Game Settings, or the closest clearly named section for how cards appear during a duel.

Find the description setting

Look for Automatically Display Card Descriptions. If that exact label is absent, do not change an unrelated card-display option.

Choose Show and save

Set the option to Show, apply or close the settings as the game instructs, and let any save indicator finish.

Verify in Solo mode

Start a Solo duel, select a card, and confirm its description panel appears. Solo mode avoids changing a live ranked match while testing.

If it does not work

  • If the option is missing, update Master Duel and inspect the current Duel settings; Konami may have moved or renamed it.
  • If only some text is hidden, select the card and use the on-screen details control because the automatic panel can depend on the current duel view.
  • If the setting resets, confirm that the game finished saving and that you reopened the same player account.
Sources and verification

Checked against official documentation on . Scope: Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel.

Konami confirms the current Master Duel product and platforms but does not publish this exact menu path. The written path comes from the preserved Tech How source and is deliberately conditional on the labels in the live game.
