When Wuthering Waves does not open at all, first determine whether the launcher fails or the Play button starts a process that closes immediately. Check current notices and PC requirements, restart Windows, then verify the files in Steam or Epic Games Launcher. Install current Windows and graphics-driver updates. If Windows Security quarantined a game file, review the alert instead of disabling protection.
Note whether the launcher itself will not open, the Play button does nothing, or the game process appears briefly in Task Manager and closes. Save any error message or Windows Security alert.

Check official notices
Open the official Wuthering Waves site and look for current maintenance or update information. If a new version is required, let the launcher finish updating before testing again.
Confirm that the PC uses 64-bit Windows and meets the current memory, graphics, DirectX, and storage requirements. Steam currently lists 150 GB of available storage.
Exit the launcher from the system tray, end only clearly named Wuthering Waves or launcher processes in Task Manager, restart Windows, and open the launcher normally.

Report the launch result
If the game still does not create a usable window, contact Kuro Games with the launcher used, Play-button behavior, exact time and error, Windows version, PC specifications, and verification result.
If the launcher cannot update because storage is full, free space on the same drive and restart the launcher; repeatedly pressing Play will not finish the update.
If the game opens but becomes black or crashes, use the separate crash and black-screen workflow because the launch step is already succeeding.
