From your Wild Rift main menu, tap the social icon on the top right of your screen. You can preview your incoming friend requests and current friend list below. You can also make use of the search to find a specific user.

How To Add Friends in Wild Rift
Tap on the Add Friend icon. You can enter the Riot ID followed by the name tag to find the user you wish to add. Right next to it, you can see your ID, which can be used to add you. In case you connected your Facebook account, you can also preview friend recommendations and your Facebook friends who own the game below.
Use a custom code to add friends
Use a custom code to add friends. This link will show them your Wild Rift profile; they can add you there.
Wild Rift Account Online Status
When closing this window, ensure your online status is set to Online. This will allow friends to invite you to their party.
Adjust the Wild Rift Friend Settings
After accepting your friend request, tap their username in your friend list and add them.

To remove a friend from your list, click on the little gear icon on the top right of their profile card and select Remove Friend from here.
Enable Friend Requests in Wild Rift
In the General section of your Wild Rift settings, disable the Hide Friend Requests option.
