Open Riot Client, select your profile icon, then Settings and VALORANT. Choose the language shown for the game, save the change, and let any language files download before launching. The available list can depend on your region. This changes the game's language as a whole; Riot does not publish a separate voice-only control.

Close VALORANT

Finish or leave the current match normally, close the game, and return to Riot Client.

Open Riot Client settings

Select the profile icon in the Riot Client, choose Settings, then select VALORANT from the game list.

Choose the game language

Open the language list and select the language you want. Use only languages displayed for your account and region.

Check Riot's supported languages

Save and wait

Apply the change and wait for Riot Client to download or update language files. Do not close it while progress is moving.

Restart the client if requested

Exit and reopen Riot Client when it asks, then launch VALORANT.

Check text and voice

Open Settings and a safe practice area. Confirm menus, subtitles, and agent speech use the expected language.

Change it back the same way

If the wrong language loaded, close the game and repeat the same Riot Client path to select the previous language.

If it does not work

  • If the language list is missing, update and restart Riot Client, then check Riot's current language page for availability.
  • If the client is now in an unfamiliar language, use the profile icon and the same Settings position to return to the list.
  • Do not rename or swap .pak files; a client update can overwrite them or prevent the game from launching.
