What Is VALORANT UnrealCEFSubProcess in Task Manager?

Answer

UnrealCEFSubProcess is a helper used by the Riot or VALORANT interface. Its presence in Task Manager does not by itself mean the PC is infected or broken. If Riot Client and VALORANT work normally, leave it running. If it repeatedly uses unusually high resources or appears with a crash, restart the client, repair its files, and check the file through Windows Security rather than deleting it.

Decide whether anything is wrong

If Riot Client opens, VALORANT launches, and resource use settles, no action is required just because UnrealCEFSubProcess appears.

Check the actual symptom

If there is a problem, note whether the client is blank, the game does not open, the process stays at high CPU, or a crash message appears.

Close Riot cleanly

Exit Riot Client from its tray icon, then use Task Manager to end remaining Riot and VALORANT tasks. Restart Windows if they immediately return or stay stuck.
