VAL 51 means Riot's party system could not create your party. Close VALORANT and restart Riot Client completely, then reopen the game and create or join a party. If the code returns, check Riot's service status for a social or platform incident; changing DNS, updating drivers, or repairing game files is not Riot's current fix for VAL 51.
Read the code on the error screen. Continue only when it says VAL 51; Riot identifies this code as a problem creating a party.

Close Riot Client completely
Close VALORANT to discard the failed party session, then exit Riot Client from its icon in the Windows notification area. Wait until the Riot icon disappears before reopening it.

End a stuck client
If the Riot icon remains, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, select Riot Client in Task Manager, and choose End task. End only Riot Client so the party service reconnects on the next launch.

Test the party system
Open Riot Client from Start, launch VALORANT, and create or join a party. The fix worked when the party panel loads and the game accepts the party without VAL 51.

Check Riot's service status
If VAL 51 returns, open Riot Games Service Status and select VALORANT and your region. Wait when an active notice covers social or platform services; otherwise submit a ticket with the code, region, and time.
If it does not work
If VALORANT opens but only one invite fails, ask that player to restart Riot Client too before either of you changes network settings.
If Riot reports a party-system incident, repeated DNS changes, driver updates, and game-file repairs will not restore that service.
If a different error appears after restarting, stop and follow the instructions for the new exact code.
