Use this guide when VALORANT closes before its home screen and shows no VAL or VAN code. Check that the PC meets Riot's current requirements, update the installed GPU through its manufacturer, install Windows updates, and then test a clean boot with the vgc service left enabled. The fix is confirmed when VALORANT reaches the home screen and stays open for five minutes.
Launch VALORANT from Riot Client and watch where it closes. Continue only when the game window disappears before the home screen and no VAL or VAN code remains; a visible code has its own Riot procedure.

Compare the PC with Riot's requirements
Open Riot's VALORANT specifications page and compare its current Windows, CPU, RAM, GPU, and graphics-API requirements with this PC. If a required item is missing, the supported outcome is a hardware or Windows upgrade rather than repeated reinstalls.

Update the GPU that launches VALORANT
Press Windows + R, enter dxdiag, open Display, and note the GPU manufacturer. Install that NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel driver's current release from the manufacturer's official updater, restart the PC, and test whether VALORANT reaches its home screen.

Finish Windows Update
Open Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. Install every offered update, restart even if Windows does not demand it, and launch VALORANT again from Riot Client.

Clean boot with Vanguard enabled
Press Windows + R, enter msconfig, and open Services. Check Hide all Microsoft services, select Disable all, re-enable vgc, select Apply > OK, and restart. Launch VALORANT before opening Discord, capture tools, overlays, or hardware utilities.

Find the conflicting startup app
If VALORANT now stays on its home screen for five minutes, re-enable the disabled non-Microsoft services in small groups and restart after each group. The service group that makes the startup crash return contains the conflict.

Attach Riot Repair Tool logs
If the clean boot still closes VALORANT before its home screen, run Riot Repair Tool as administrator and submit its zip in a technical ticket. Include the launch time, Windows version, GPU name, and the last screen visible before the close.
If it does not work
If Riot Client itself will not open, this is not the VALORANT startup-crash path; troubleshoot Riot Client before changing the game.
Do not delete EasySettingsBox text from Vanguard logs. Logs are evidence for Riot Support, not configuration files to edit.
If the PC restarts or shows a blue screen instead of returning to Riot Client, record the Windows stop code and use the relevant system or hardware support path.
