Enable and Use Console Commands in V Rising

Open Options > General > Interface and turn on Console Enabled. Press the key below Esc, which may be `, §, or another key on your layout, then type `list` to see available commands. Administrative commands work only when you own the local game or are authorized as an administrator on the server.

Protect the world

Back up a local save before using commands that create items, change progress, or affect other players.

Enable the console

Open Options > General > Interface and switch Console Enabled on.

Return to the game and press the key directly below Esc. Depending on the keyboard, it may show a backtick, tilde, §, or another symbol.

List current commands

Type `list` and press Enter. Read the available names and descriptions shown by the installed game version.

Authenticate only where authorized

In your own local game or on a server where you are an approved admin, enter `adminauth` if required. Ordinary players cannot grant themselves server permission.

Run one harmless check

Use a read-only help or list command first. For a command with arguments, type its name followed by the values exactly as the live help describes.

Close and verify

Press the console key again, confirm the intended change, and reload the world if you need to make sure it was saved.

If it does not work

  • If the console does not open, confirm Console Enabled remained on and test the physical key below Esc.
  • If `adminauth` is denied, the server owner must add your Steam ID to the admin list.
  • Avoid old `give` or `giveset` examples without checking `list`; names and parameters can change between versions.
