Use OpenAI's official ChatGPT app or website on iPhone or Android. Available models and features depend on the current account and plan.
1
Before you start
Use only the official ChatGPT listing published by OpenAI or chatgpt.com, and verify the publisher before installing. Model names, plans, limits, voice, image, and other features can change and are shown for the signed-in account.
2
Use an official ChatGPT entry point
Install ChatGPT from the official mobile store listing or open ChatGPT in a supported mobile browser. Choose the official App Store, Google Play, or supported browser entry point and avoid similarly named third-party apps.
Sign in or create an account, then review any current availability notices. Sign in to the intended account using the official flow, then review history, privacy, plan, and workspace context before entering content.
4
Choose available features
Start a chat and use only models or features shown for your account; do not rely on legacy 'ChatGPT 4' app instructions. Start a new chat and choose only the model or feature currently displayed; do not follow a legacy promise that a specific GPT-4 option must be present.
5
Verify the result
Send a non-sensitive test prompt, reopen the conversation history, and confirm the account and workspace are correct. Review app permissions before enabling microphone, photos, or notifications.
6
Troubleshoot ChatGPT mobile access
If sign-in or chats fail, check OpenAI status, update the app, retry the browser, and capture the exact message. Do not install a cloned APK or give credentials to a third-party app claiming to unlock models.
