Update Roblox on Windows or Mac
Source-checked About 10 minutes
Answer
Close Roblox, restart the computer, then launch an experience from Roblox.com. The browser-installed Roblox Player checks for an update as it opens. If you use the Microsoft Store version, update Roblox - Windows from the Store's Library page. Reinstall only if the normal update remains stuck.
Before you continue
- CloseQuit Roblox before starting the update.
- LaunchOpen an experience to trigger the Player check.
- StoreUpdate Roblox - Windows from Microsoft Store Library if that is your version.
If it does not work
- If the update loops, check the computer's date and time, available storage, and whether a security tool blocked the Roblox installer.
- If Roblox.com launches a different installed version than expected, uninstall the obsolete copy and keep one current installation route.
- If an organization manages the computer, its administrator may need to allow the update; do not bypass device-management controls.
