Close Roblox, restart the computer, then launch an experience from Roblox.com. The browser-installed Roblox Player checks for an update as it opens. If you use the Microsoft Store version, update Roblox - Windows from the Store's Library page. Reinstall only if the normal update remains stuck.
Before you continue
CloseQuit Roblox before starting the update.
LaunchOpen an experience to trigger the Player check.
StoreUpdate Roblox - Windows from Microsoft Store Library if that is your version.
Leave the experience and quit Roblox. On Windows, check the taskbar; on Mac, choose Roblox > Quit Roblox or press Command+Q.

Restart the computer
Save other work and restart Windows or macOS. This clears a stuck installer or Player process without deleting settings.

Update the browser-installed Player
Open Roblox.com, sign in, choose an experience, and select Play. Roblox Player checks its version and installs an available update before the experience opens.
Open Microsoft Store > Library > Get updates. Install the update for Roblox - Windows, which has a blue icon. The older gray-icon app named Roblox is not the current Store version.
On Mac, launching an experience from Roblox.com can open the Roblox installer or updater. Allow it to finish, then open the experience again.

Confirm the update worked
Join one trusted experience, open the Roblox menu, and check that controls load normally. There is no need to reinstall if Roblox launches and plays correctly.

Reinstall only if the update stays stuck
Use the official reinstall instructions for Windows or Mac. Restart after uninstalling, download Roblox again from Roblox.com, and avoid third-party installers.
