Riot Client is shared by Riot games. Close it, then uninstall unwanted games from Settings > Apps > Installed apps on Windows 11, or Apps & features on Windows 10. To remove all Riot software, uninstall Riot Vanguard and clean up Riot's leftover folders afterward. If you keep a Riot game, keep the client and the anti-cheat it needs.
Open Start > Settings > Apps, then Installed apps on Windows 11 or Apps & features on Windows 10. Search for Riot. If you are keeping a Riot game, remove only the unwanted game and leave Riot Client and its required anti-cheat installed. Back up local replays or settings before continuing.

Exit Riot Client
Close every Riot game. In the notification area at the right end of the taskbar, right-click Riot Client and choose Exit. If its icon is not visible, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc, select Riot Client under Processes in Task Manager, and choose End task. Continue when it is no longer running.

Uninstall the unwanted Riot games
Return to the Windows app list. On Windows 11, select the three-dot More button beside the game, then Uninstall; on Windows 10, select the game, then Uninstall. Confirm the prompt. Repeat only for other games you want removed, and check that each finished game's entry disappears from the list.

Remove Riot Vanguard only when appropriate
If no remaining Riot game needs Riot Vanguard, choose Uninstall beside Riot Vanguard in the same Windows app list and confirm. Restart Windows if prompted. If you are keeping a Riot game and are unsure whether it requires Vanguard, leave Vanguard installed and check that game's current Riot support page first.

Delete leftovers only after removing every Riot game
Use this cleanup only when you want no Riot software left. In File Explorer, delete C:\Riot Games\Riot Client after preserving anything you need. Press Windows + R, enter %localappdata%, and delete its Riot Games folder; repeat with %programdata%. Do not delete similarly named folders elsewhere, then restart Windows.

Verify the result
Search the Windows app list for Riot and open Task Manager. A complete removal leaves no unwanted Riot game, Riot Client, or Riot Vanguard entry and no Riot process running. If you kept a Riot game, Riot Client returning when that game starts is expected because the game still uses it.
If it does not work
If Windows says Riot Client is still running, exit it from the notification area or end only the clearly named Riot Client process in Task Manager, then retry the uninstall.
If a Riot game or component is missing from Installed apps or its uninstaller fails, use Microsoft's Program Install and Uninstall troubleshooter. Do not edit the registry or take ownership of Windows folders to force removal.
If Riot Client returns after a restart, check Installed apps again. A remaining Riot game can reinstall or relaunch the shared client it requires.
If Windows will not delete a documented leftover folder, restart once and confirm that no Riot process is running. Leave the folder in place rather than changing broad file permissions.
