Switch to a TikTok Business Account
Source-checked About 5 minutes
Answer
In TikTok, open Profile, Menu, Settings and privacy, then Account to choose Switch to Business Account. Review the feature and music-library differences before you confirm the change.
Check whether Business fits your use
TikTok describes Business Accounts as public profiles for brands and businesses. Review the available tools and the commercial music library before changing a personal or creator-focused account.
Open your TikTok profile
Open the official TikTok app and tap Profile at the bottom. Confirm that you are on the account you intend to convert if you manage more than one account.
Open Settings and privacy
Tap the Menu button at the top of the profile, then choose Settings and privacy. Do not use an account-switching shortcut, because it does not change the account type.
Open Account settings
Tap Account to view account-type controls. Read any availability notice because some features can vary by account, region, or eligibility.
Choose Switch to Business Account
Tap Switch to Business Account and follow TikTok's on-screen setup. Select only details that accurately describe the business or brand represented by the account.
Review the new account tools
After conversion, check Business Suite, analytics, and the music options available to the account. Business Accounts use the Commercial Music Library rather than TikTok's general music library for commercial use.

If it does not work
- If you cannot see the option, update TikTok and confirm that you are on the intended account. Do not use third-party services to force an account type.
- If a sound is no longer available after switching, choose a sound from TikTok's Commercial Music Library or confirm that you have the required rights before publishing.
- TikTok advises against repeatedly switching between Business and Personal accounts. If you need separate business and personal activity, consider separate accounts instead.
