Hide Steam Game Activity, Playtime, or Your Games List

To hide one game, open Steam Library, right-click the game, then choose Manage > Mark as Private. This hides ownership, in-game status, playtime, achievement activity, profile achievement showcases, and activity for that title; hiding a game in your Library is different and only reorganizes your own view.
Start the online Steam client, select Library, and find the exact game you want to conceal. Steam must be connected for the private-game control to be available.

Mark that game as private
Right-click the game, or select its gear icon, then choose Manage > Mark as Private. Steam should confirm the new private state; the same control is also available under the game's Properties > Privacy.

Understand what the setting hides
The private title is removed from your public game list and recent activity, and Steam hides its ownership, playtime, achievement activity, profile achievement showcases, and In Game status from friends. The game remains installed and visible to you in Library.

Use profile-wide privacy when needed
To restrict all game details instead, open your Steam profile, select Edit Profile > Privacy Settings, and change Game details to Friends Only or Private. Return to the profile after saving and confirm the selected audience is shown.

Verify from another account
View your profile from a second account outside the allowed audience and check the games list, recent activity, and playtime. Launch the private game and confirm that account does not see your normal In Game status.

Account for Steam's documented limits
Players on the same multiplayer server may still see your Steam identity, and a friend you invite can see your in-game status until you leave or disconnect. Private games also stop Steam trading-card drops and local-network game transfers, and gift buyers may not be warned that you already own the title.
If it does not work
If Mark as Private is missing, confirm the Steam client is online, then open the game's Properties > Privacy and look for the same control there.
If the title still appears to another person, confirm you marked the game private rather than choosing Manage > Hide this game; Hide only changes your own Library organization.
If all game activity is visible, reopen Profile > Edit Profile > Privacy Settings and check the Game details audience separately.
