Find or Unsubscribe From Steam Workshop Items

Open the game's Workshop

In Steam, open Library, select the game, and open its Workshop page from the game's community links. Make sure the page belongs to the game whose content you want to manage.

Open your subscriptions

Select Your Items, then Subscribed Items. This list belongs to the signed-in Steam account and the current game.

Open the item

Select the mod, map, or add-on you want to manage. The item page provides its subscription, favorite, and rating controls; configuration instructions may appear in its description.

Unsubscribe from the item

Select the subscribed button to unsubscribe. If the game is running, quit it fully; Steamworks states that the item is removed after the game quits.

Verify the subscription is gone

Return to Your Items > Subscribed Items and confirm the item no longer appears as subscribed. Let any pending Workshop activity finish before relaunching the game.

If it does not work

  • If Subscribed Items does not open, confirm the correct Steam account and game Workshop are selected, then open the same Workshop page in a web browser.
  • If an unsubscribed item still affects the game, quit the game completely and wait for Steam's pending Workshop activity to finish before reopening it.
  • If you created the item, update it through that game's supported Workshop publishing tool and your original project. Steam has no universal editor for creator files, enable state, configuration, or load order.
