Add Local Music Files to Spotify on iPhone

Source-checked About 10 minutes

Answer

Enable Local audio files in Spotify, move legally stored audio into the Spotify folder in Files, then open Your Library > Local Files.

Use a supported file

Make sure the audio is legally stored on the iPhone and supported; this does not upload music to Spotify's public catalog.

Enable local files

Tap your profile picture > Settings and privacy > Apps and devices and turn on Local audio files.

Move the file

In Files, copy or move the audio into On My iPhone > Spotify.

Open the library

In Spotify, open Your Library > Local Files. Restart Spotify if its Files folder is temporarily missing.
