Sell Cars in Forza Horizon 5 through the Auction House

Forza Horizon 5 does not let you sell a car directly to the game for credits. Use Buy & Sell > Auction House from a Festival site or player house, choose Start Auction, select an eligible car, set the starting price, buyout, and duration, then confirm. The Auction House charges a fee and some reward or voucher cars cannot be sold.

Go to a house or Festival site

Enter an owned player house or Horizon Festival location and open the Buy & Sell tab.

Open Auction House

Choose Auction House, then Start Auction. If it is greyed out, finish more of the opening tutorial and check account privacy or age restrictions.

Select an eligible car

Choose a car you can part with. The game will prevent restricted Barn Find, Loyalty reward, DLC, or voucher cars where applicable.

Set auction terms

Choose the starting price, buyout price, and duration. Read the estimated listing or closing fee before confirming.

Confirm the listing

Review the exact car, tune or paint, prices, and duration, then start the auction. Listed cars cannot be used while the auction is active.

Check My Auctions

Return after bids or expiry and open My Auctions. Select the completed listing to claim the credits or reclaim an unsold car.

Verify the balance

After claiming, confirm the credit balance changed. Remember the amount can be lower than the winning bid because of the Auction House commission.

If it does not work

  • A transaction limit can cause Bid Failed or listing errors; Forza says to return the next day.
  • If credits or a car seem missing, restart and check My Auctions before opening a support ticket.
  • Do not give account credentials to a person offering to buy the car outside the Auction House.
