Press Windows+R, run dxdiag, and check Display > Feature Levels. Roblox requires DirectX 10 or higher feature-level support; if the GPU supports it, install the current driver for the exact GPU model from its PC or GPU manufacturer, restart Windows, and retry Roblox. A driver update cannot add missing DirectX 10 hardware support.
Launch one Roblox experience and confirm the message says the graphics card or driver is too old. If Roblox opens but only looks blurry or slow, this is a different problem; do not replace a working driver based on a similar symptom.

Check the DirectX feature level
Press Windows+R, type dxdiag, press Enter, and open each Display tab. Under Drivers, find Feature Levels; if no value 10_0 or higher appears, the GPU does not meet Roblox's requirement and a software reinstall will not make it compatible.
In dxdiag, note the Name on every Display tab, especially on a laptop with integrated and dedicated graphics. If Roblox Studio opens, File > Studio Settings > Diagnostics > GfxCard shows which GPU Roblox is using.

Install the matching official driver
Use the PC manufacturer's support page first for a laptop or prebuilt PC; otherwise use NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel support for the exact GPU model and Windows edition. Install the offered display driver, restart Windows, and do not use a third-party driver updater.

Turn off compatibility mode
If the GPU meets the requirement and the current driver is installed, right-click the Roblox application, choose Properties > Compatibility, and clear Run this program in compatibility mode if selected. Apply the change and retry Roblox.

Verify in Roblox
Launch the same experience and confirm it reaches the game instead of the graphics error. If it opens, lower in-game Graphics Quality only when performance is poor; quality does not repair missing DirectX feature support.

Escalate with GPU evidence
If the error remains, contact Roblox Support with the exact message, Windows edition, dxdiag GPU name and Feature Levels, installed driver version, and driver source. Do not share the full dxdiag report unless support requests it and you review it for identifiers.

If it does not work
If the manufacturer says no newer supported driver exists and dxdiag lacks Feature Level 10_0, the supported resolution is newer compatible graphics hardware or another supported device.
If a laptop shows two GPUs, update both through the laptop maker when it supplies paired drivers; mixing unrelated generic packages can create switching problems.
If Roblox started showing the error after compatibility settings were changed, clear compatibility mode before reinstalling drivers.
