Mac: replace the app and check permission
Quit Roblox, move the Roblox app to Trash, then reinstall it from Roblox's official website. If the fresh app cannot run, open Apple menu > System Settings > Privacy & Security and check whether macOS is blocking Roblox; allow it only when the displayed app is the official Roblox app.

Fire tablet or Chromebook: use the store copy
On Fire OS, open Settings > Apps & Games > Manage All Applications > Roblox, force-stop it, and retry; uninstall it there and reinstall from the Amazon Appstore if needed. On ChromeOS, end the Roblox process in Chrome's More tools > Task Manager, then remove Roblox from the Launcher and reinstall it from Google Play if code 280 persists.

On iOS, Android, Fire OS, or ChromeOS, check that the device's date and time are correct before reinstalling again. Roblox lists an incorrect device clock as a code 280 check on these platforms.
If Roblox works on another trusted network but still shows 280 on the usual connection, contact the internet provider with that comparison instead of changing DNS or firewall settings blindly.
