Open Roblox Settings > Account Info and select the pencil beside Birthday. Enter the real date and complete the prompt Roblox shows. A 13-plus correction may require government ID, some regions require parental consent, and a linked parent can change a child's birthday only once. The change is complete when Account Info shows the correct birthday or age group.
Sign in, open Settings, and select Account Info. Confirm the username before changing the birthday because age controls communication, content, privacy, and parental features.
Choose the pencil icon next to Birthday, enter the correct date, and follow the prompts. Roblox requires a minimum account age and may require an age check, government ID for eligible users, or parental consent depending on the change.

Use a linked parent for a child account
Sign into the linked parent's Roblox account, open Settings > Parental Controls, select the child, choose the pencil beside the child's avatar, and use the arrow beside Birthday. Roblox allows this parent correction once, and the arrow is unavailable after the child has verified age with government ID.

Complete only the official age check
If Roblox requests facial age estimation or ID verification, continue inside Roblox's official flow. Do not upload identity documents to a tutorial, message, or third-party age-changing service.

Accept the verified result
Return to Settings > Account Info and confirm the displayed birthday and age group. If a 13-plus account is estimated as under 13, Roblox can apply a 48-hour grace period; select Accept Now only when that lower result is correct.

Review changed permissions
Check Privacy & content restrictions and Parental Controls after the age updates. Do not create a false birthday to bypass communication or content protections.

Use Support for a blocked correction
If the pencil or parent edit control is unavailable, or a verified birthday is wrong, contact Roblox Support with ownership evidence. Do not repeat ID submissions or open replacement accounts to evade the restriction.
If it does not work
If the child birthday arrow is missing, check whether the parent account is actually linked and whether the child already used government-ID verification; Roblox blocks the linked-parent edit after ID verification.
If facial estimation placed the account in the wrong group, use Continue with ID from Account Info when the user is 13 or older. Roblox Support says its staff cannot manually verify an ID.
If an 18-plus age-check result was accepted by mistake, use Reset beneath the birthday and age group. Roblox allows the age-checked status to be undone only once per account.
If Account Info shows the correct birthday but chat or content access did not change, check Privacy & content restrictions and Parental Controls; those settings can still limit the feature.
