Publish a Template on CapCut

Source-checked About 15 minutes

Answer

Only approved CapCut template creators with Creator Center access can publish reusable templates. In the mobile app, create a project with editable placeholders, tap Post, then Publish as Template. If Creator Center or that option is missing, update the app and check regional eligibility; ordinary accounts cannot unlock it with a hidden setting.

Check account eligibility

Open CapCut mobile, go to Me, and look for Creator Center. If it is absent, the account is not currently approved to publish templates.

Apply if available

Use CapCut's official creator application in the app or website. Submit accurate information and wait for approval.

Create an editable project

Tap New Project and add replaceable clips or photos, editable text, transitions, effects, and only music you may publish.

Preview every placeholder

Replace each placeholder once yourself to confirm another user can understand it and that no private media remains.

Tap Post

When the project is complete, tap Post in the mobile app. Desktop or web may not offer the same community publishing flow.

Choose Publish as Template

Select Publish as Template, add an accurate title, category, cover, and tags, then review the public preview.

Check review and listing

Wait for CapCut's review, then open the public template from another view and confirm the placeholders and media rights are correct.

If it does not work

  • If Publish as Template is missing, confirm Creator Center approval, app version, account verification, and supported region.
  • If the template is rejected, read the stated reason and fix only that issue before resubmitting.
  • Do not publish copyrighted music, logos, private faces, or AI effects that CapCut's current rules prohibit.
