Play Spotify Music While Using Roblox on Mobile

Start music in Spotify, switch to Roblox, and join an experience. If the music pauses, resume it from iPhone Control Center or Android Quick Settings. Some Roblox experiences take control of audio again, so playing both at once is not guaranteed on every device or game.

Open Spotify's web player

Start music in Spotify

Open the Spotify app, or use the linked web player in a supported browser, sign in, and start the song, album, or playlist you want.

Leave Spotify playing

Return to the Home Screen without force-closing Spotify. The music should continue in the background.

Open Roblox

Open Roblox, join the intended experience, and wait for it to finish loading. Listen for whether Spotify continues or pauses.

Resume music on iPhone or iPad

Open Control Center by swiping down from the top-right on a Face ID device, or up from the bottom on a device with a Home button. Select Play in the media panel, then return to Roblox.

Resume music on Android

Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings. Use the Spotify media player to select Play, then return to Roblox.

Balance the two apps

Use Roblox's in-game volume control if game sound is too loud. If the experience pauses Spotify again each time, the device or game is taking audio focus and there may be no reliable setting that forces both to play.

If it does not work

If Spotify stops as soon as the screen locks, check its battery and background-app permissions and make sure the account can play normally outside Roblox.
If Roblox sound is silent after resuming Spotify, raise or lower Roblox's own volume rather than the phone's main volume first.
Do not install audio-overlay or modified Roblox apps that promise to force simultaneous playback.
