Reduce Background Noise and Keyboard Clicks in OBS Studio

Answer
Add Noise Suppression for steady noise and an Expander or Noise Gate for quieter keyboard sounds between speech. Tune while monitoring so voice beginnings are not cut off.
Record an untreated sample
Set the microphone level first and record speech, silence, typing, and mouse clicks. Physical mic placement usually matters more than aggressive filtering.
Add Noise Suppression
In Audio Mixer, open the microphone's Filters, add Noise Suppression, and start with the supported default method.
Add an Expander
Add Expander after suppression. Lower the threshold until quiet keyboard clicks reduce while normal speech still opens naturally.
Use a Noise Gate only when needed
A gate fully closes below its threshold and can sound abrupt. Set close and open thresholds while speaking softly and typing.
Monitor the full chain
Use headphones, record another sample, and keep a Limiter near the end if peaks can clip. Filters cannot cleanly remove clicks that overlap speech.
