Turn Off Auto-Battle and Understand AI Mode in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

Source-checked About 3 minutes

Answer

Tap the on-screen Auto control until it is off or shows manual control, then move near an enemy and confirm that the character no longer attacks by itself. AI Mode is different: it closes the game and continues hunting offline in eligible areas, so do not activate it when you want fully manual play.

Before you continue
  • Auto-BattleThis controls automatic fighting while the game is open.
  • AI ModeThis is offline auto-hunting and closes the game after activation.
  • TestStand near an enemy and make sure attacks no longer start automatically.

Identify the active automation

If the game is open and the character fights by itself, Auto-Battle is active. If the game closed after a countdown and continued hunting offline, AI Mode was activated.

Turn off Auto-Battle

Tap the on-screen Auto control until it shows the off or manual state. The icon may cycle through more than one automatic setting, so watch its label or appearance.

Stop automatic movement when needed

Cancel an active quest route or automatic target if the character still moves after Auto-Battle is off. Movement guidance and automatic combat can be separate.

Test manual control

Move near a normal enemy without pressing a skill. The character should wait for your input instead of beginning a new attack.

Understand AI Mode

AI Mode is an offline hunting feature used in eligible areas such as Chaos Field. Netmarble currently provides four free hours per day, renewed at 04:00 UTC+9, and the game closes five seconds after activation.

Return after AI Mode was used

Sign back in to end the offline session and collect its results. Do not activate AI Mode again if you want to remain in manual control.

If it does not work

  • If the character still attacks, tap the Auto control again and make sure a quest or target is not forcing another automatic action.
  • If the app closed after a five-second countdown, AI Mode was activated; sign back in rather than reinstalling the game.
  • If AI Mode time is missing, check the renewal time and whether the free daily allowance was already used.
