Best Minecraft Mobile Settings for Better Performance

Answer
In Minecraft Bedrock on mobile, open Settings > Video, choose Simple Graphics Mode, turn off Fancy Leaves, Fancy Bubbles, Render Clouds, FOV Can Be Altered By Gameplay, Beautiful Skies, and Smooth Lighting, then reduce FOV below 60. Lower render distance from your device's default one step at a time and retest the same world area; there is no reliable universal chunk setting for every phone or tablet.
Open one local world, choose a busy area, and move through it once in the same way you will use for every retest. If solo play is smooth but multiplayer rubber-bands, use the network guide instead of lowering graphics settings.
2
Open the mobile Video settings
Save and exit to Minecraft's launch screen, then select Settings > Video. Changing the launch-screen controls keeps the comparison consistent.
3
Choose the lowest-resource graphics mode
Set Graphics Mode to Simple. Turn off Fancy Leaves, Fancy Bubbles, Render Clouds, FOV Can Be Altered By Gameplay, Beautiful Skies, and Smooth Lighting. If Vibrant Visuals is active, switch to Simple for the lowest load or reduce its effects.
4
Lower FOV and render distance gradually
Set FOV below 60 and lower render distance one step from the device's current default. Return to the same area and repeat the same movement. Change only one setting between later tests so you know what helped.
5
Reduce mobile load if stutter remains
Close other active apps. If the phone or tablet is hot or charging, unplug it, let it cool, and retest. Update Minecraft and disable add-ons or resource packs one at a time; do not use an FPS booster or a universal chunk preset.
6
Keep the best stable balance
Success means the repeated route stays responsive without the same stutter. Re-enable one visual option at a time until performance becomes unacceptable, then revert the last change.
If it does not work
If only one world is slow, test a copy and disable that world's add-ons or resource packs one at a time.
If play starts smoothly and degrades while the device becomes hot, cool and unplug it, then keep a lower sustainable setting.
If Vibrant Visuals is unavailable, use the Graphics Mode options shown on the device. Reinstall only as a last resort and back up worlds first.

Minecraft documents the current Video controls but does not prescribe one render-distance value for every mobile device; test relative to the device default.
