When Lost Ark says it cannot connect, keep the full code and check the official server status first. If your server is online, stop downloads, restart the game and home network, try Ethernet, and verify the game files. Add LostArkLauncher.exe to the Windows Firewall allowed-app list only if the connection still fails; do not leave the firewall turned off.
Take a screenshot of the full Lost Ark message. Codes such as G0x9-SPELPWP1P2NT and 0PELPWP1F2NT have their own wait-and-retry guidance, so the text after “cannot connect” matters.

Try Ethernet
Connect the PC directly to the router for one test if possible. If Ethernet works, troubleshoot Wi-Fi signal and interference rather than changing Lost Ark graphics settings.

Verify the game files
In Steam Library, right-click Lost Ark and choose Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the check and any download to finish.
Press Windows key + R, enter firewall.cpl, and choose Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall. Add LostArkLauncher.exe if it is missing and allow it for the networks you use; turn the firewall back on after any brief diagnostic test.
