Move the Overlay Map in Lost Ark

Press Tab to open the transparent overlay map. Hold the mouse wheel button, also called the middle mouse button, and drag the map to a clearer part of the screen. Press Tab again to close it.

Open the overlay map

Press Tab. This opens the transparent map over the game world; it is different from the full world map opened with M.

Find the middle mouse button

The scroll wheel is usually also a button. Press the wheel straight down until it clicks, without scrolling it.

Drag the map

Keep the middle mouse button held and move the mouse. Release the button when the overlay is no longer covering your character or an important combat area.

Check the new position

Walk a short distance and confirm that map markers remain readable. Move it again if it blocks quest text, party information, or another interface panel.

Close and reopen it

Press Tab to close the overlay, then press Tab again. The game should remember the position during normal play.

Review the key if Tab does not work

Open Settings > Hotkeys and find the overlay-map command. Some basic keys may be fixed, but the list confirms the active control.

If it does not work

  • If scrolling zooms or changes the view, press the wheel down instead of rolling it forward or backward.
  • If the mouse has no clickable wheel, check its own documented middle-button option or use another mouse.
  • If Tab opens another panel, close chat or text entry first, then click the game world and try again.
