Treat low FPS, stutter, and network lag as different symptoms. For frame-rate problems, record one scene you can repeat, stop background downloads, test Lost Ark's display modes and Auto Settings, then change one video option at a time. Update Windows and the graphics driver, verify Steam files, and check temperatures only if the frame drops continue.
Watch whether animation becomes choppy, the FPS counter drops, or the image pauses while network actions still arrive normally. If characters rubber-band, attacks register late, or disconnects occur, use a network diagnosis instead of changing graphics settings.

Record a scene you can repeat
Choose an area and camera movement that reproduce the drop. Note the current resolution, display mode, graphics preset, approximate FPS, and whether the issue began after an update. Repeat this same scene after each change.

Stop downloads and unneeded background work
Pause game downloads, Windows updates, cloud synchronization, recording, and other disk- or CPU-heavy work you control. Close unneeded programs, then test the saved scene once without changing Lost Ark settings.

Test the display mode and Auto Settings
In Lost Ark, press Esc, open Settings, choose Video, and run Auto Settings. Compare full screen with the current windowed or borderless mode, one mode at a time. Lost Ark Support lists both checks for low FPS and choppy gameplay.
If Auto Settings does not stabilize the scene, lower one demanding visual option, apply it, and repeat the same scene. Keep only changes that improve consistency. Avoid copied launch options or a universal preset because their effect depends on this PC and scene.

Update Windows and the graphics driver
Install offered Windows updates and the current graphics driver from the GPU or computer manufacturer. Reset any custom settings for Lost Ark in the graphics-driver control panel before testing again; Lost Ark Support warns that those settings can conflict with the in-game configuration.

Verify files and check for heat
Use Steam's Verify integrity of game files control, wait for completion, and repeat the same scene. If performance gets worse only after the PC warms up, check its temperatures and cooling with tools supplied by the hardware manufacturer before assuming the game files are at fault.
If the same frame drop begins immediately after a Lost Ark update and affects other players in the same content, note the scene and time and check the current Known Issues page before making more changes to the PC.
If Windows restarts, the display driver resets, or other games show the same fault, write down the Windows error and check the hardware or driver instead of continuing to change Lost Ark settings.
