When Lost Ark times out, first check whether your server is online. If it is, close downloads and streaming, restart Lost Ark and the router, and test Ethernet if available. Verify the game files in Steam, then confirm Windows Firewall allows LostArkLauncher.exe. Change one item at a time so you can tell whether the server, home network, or PC caused the timeout.
Open the official server page and select the region you actually use. Wait if the server is in maintenance, busy, or full; a local reinstall will not shorten that wait.
Pause Steam downloads, cloud backups, streaming, and large transfers on the PC and other household devices for one test. This frees the connection so the comparison is meaningful.

Restart the game and router
Close Lost Ark and Steam, restart the PC, then unplug the modem and router for 30 seconds. Reconnect the modem first, wait for it to start, and then reconnect the router.

Compare Ethernet with Wi-Fi
Use an Ethernet cable for one test if possible. If the timeout disappears on Ethernet, focus on Wi-Fi signal or interference instead of deleting Lost Ark files.

Verify the game files
In Steam Library, right-click Lost Ark and choose Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files. Wait for the check and any download to finish before testing again.
Press Windows key + R, enter firewall.cpl, and choose Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall. Confirm Lost Ark is allowed on the networks you use; do not leave the firewall disabled.
If only Wi-Fi times out, restart or reposition the router and keep the wired result as your reference; changing graphics settings will not improve the wireless signal.
If Ethernet and Wi-Fi both fail while the server is online, record the time, region, server, and full message before contacting Lost Ark Support or your internet provider.
