Add Friends and Invite Them to a Party in Lost Ark

Open Community > Friends > Request, enter the other character's exact name, and send the request. After they accept, find them in the Friends list, right-click their name, and choose Invite to Party. Friends must be on the same world, while many group activities require only the same region.
Before you continue
Exact nameEnter the character name exactly as it appears.

Ask which world their character uses. Lost Ark's Friends list and guilds are world-specific, so a character on another world cannot be added to the same Friends list.

Open the Friends window
Select Community at the bottom-right of the screen, then choose Friends. Open the Request tab to send a new request.

Enter the exact character name
Type the other player's character name exactly, including spelling, and send the request. A display name from Steam, Discord, or Twitch may not be the same as the in-game character name.

Wait for the request to be accepted
The other player must open their Friends window and accept the request. Refresh or reopen the list if their name does not appear immediately.

Invite the friend to your party
In the Friends list, right-click the accepted friend's character name and choose Invite to Party. They must accept the separate party invitation before their portrait appears in your party.

Choose an activity you can both enter
Players in the same region can use messaging and many raids or other group activities even when some social features are world-specific. Check the activity's own entry rules before travelling.
