Log Out of Facebook on All Other Devices

Source-checked About 10 minutes

Answer

Review Where you're logged in through Accounts Center, select the correct Facebook profile and sessions, then log them out and secure the account.

Open the session list

In Facebook, open Settings and privacy > Settings, then Accounts Center > Password and security > Where you're logged in. The route can appear slightly differently on mobile and desktop. Use Facebook's own app or facebook.com, not a third-party session viewer, because this page exposes sensitive account and device information.

Select the correct Facebook profile

Choose the Facebook account whose sessions you want to review. Accounts Center may contain Facebook and Instagram profiles, so verify the profile name and photo first. Expand the list when needed to see more sessions instead of assuming the first few entries represent every logged-in device.

Review device details before ending sessions

Compare each session's device type, browser or app, approximate location, and recent activity. Location estimates can be imperfect, especially on mobile networks or VPNs, so use the combination of details. Identify the device you are currently using so you do not accidentally interrupt the security work before saving changes.

Log out selected or all sessions

Select the sessions you no longer trust and choose Log out. Use Select all only after reviewing the account and recognizing the consequence: every selected phone, browser, tablet, and computer will need to sign in again. Confirm the action and reload the session list to verify those entries are no longer active.

Secure the account if a session was unfamiliar

Logging out stops the selected session but does not explain how access occurred. Change the Facebook password to a unique one, review the account email and phone details, enable two-factor authentication, and inspect recent security alerts. Do not approve a login prompt or share a recovery code with anyone claiming to investigate the session.

Troubleshoot a session that returns

A current device may create a new session after the app reconnects, and location can change as networks change. If an unrecognized device repeatedly returns, capture its details, change the password from a trusted device, sign out other sessions again, and follow Facebook's compromised-account process. Remove suspicious browser extensions or apps only when there is evidence they were involved.
