How To Fix iPhone Not Showing Emails in Inbox

If you are an iPhone user and having trouble finding your emails in your inbox, don't worry, you are not alone. Many iPhone users face this issue, which can be frustrating, especially when you expect important emails. But don't worry, some simple and easy solutions can help you fix the problem. In this article, we will guide you on fixing the problem when emails are not showing up in your inbox. Whether you are using an iPhone 13, iPhone 14, or any other version, these solutions will work. So, let's get started.

Test Network Connection

First, make sure you are using a reliable network connection. Open up any website on your preferred browser to see if you can load it correctly. You may even use a speed testing site or application such as Speedtest. This will test your current upload and download speed to the nearest server. If you notice any connection problems, try switching it from cellular to WiFi or vice versa.

Disable VPN Connection

If the problem persists, make sure to disable your VPN in your iPhone settings in case you are using one.

Enable Mobile Data for Mail

In your settings, scroll down and select Mail. Here, make sure that the Mobile Data option is enabled. In addition, make sure that low power mode is disabled in your Control Centre as this will disable automatic email fetching.

Enable Incoming Emails

Select Accounts and tap on the account that is not loading your emails. Ensure that the Mail toggle is enabled.

Back in your Accounts settings, select Fetch New Data, and here, make sure that Push is enabled and that your email schedule is set to Fetch. You can then try to load any potential incoming emails again.

Look up Mail. Here, tap on Offload App. This will clear the application’s cache. This will reinstate your data and ensure that any software-related glitch or network-related problem will be avoided the next time you launch the app. Your sign-in data will be preserved, as well as your inbox.

iCloud Mail Settings

If you’re still experiencing problems with your mail app, a similar problem can occur with your iCloud storage space. Back in your main settings, tap on your iCloud account name. From here, tap on iCloud.

Tap on iCloud Mail and make sure to toggle this option off. In case your emails are being received now, then the issue is related to your iCloud sign-in data or iCloud storage. You can preview your available storage here, and when tapping on Manage Storage, you can delete some unwanted data to make room for incoming emails.

Update & Restart iPhone

Before reinstalling the mail app on your device, it’s suggested to update your device to the latest iOS version. In your general settings, tap on Software Update. Download and install the latest update before restarting your device. Restarting your device will additionally restart all processes that can resolve the problem.

Reinstall Mail App

As a last resort, you can try to reinstall the mail application on your iPhone. Tap and hold the mail app icon pressed on your home screen and select Remove App.

You can then proceed to look the app up in your App Store application to redownload it to your device.
