Turn On Instagram Typing Indicators

Instagram's Typing indicator requires Activity Status to be on for both people. Open the activity-status setting, turn it on, then verify that the other person has also enabled it.
Open Activity Status
Open Instagram's settings for messages and story replies, then open Show Activity Status.
Turn Activity Status on
Turn on Show Activity Status for the account.
Check the other account too
Ask the other person to enable Activity Status as well, then start a new conversation to test the typing indicator.
Verify the result
Use a trusted contact to type in the same eligible chat and confirm whether the indicator appears while both accounts are active.
