Source-checked About 10 minutes
Answer
In Google Drive, open the file menu and choose Download or Open in > Save to Files; use Send a copy for photos and videos.
Open the file menu
In the Google Drive app, tap More beside the file you want.
Save a document
Choose Download when offered, or Open in > Save to Files and select an on-device or iCloud Drive folder.
Save media correctly
For a photo or video, choose Send a copy and then Save Image or Save Video if you want it in Photos.
Check offline and security limits
Shared permissions, storage, or suspicious-file warnings may prevent saving; do not bypass a safety warning blindly.
