Exit HoYoPlay completely, including its system-tray icon, then reopen it and resume the Genshin Impact download. If it stays slow, switch to a wired or different network and pause other downloads. A hard drive can also make installation appear slow while HoYoPlay processes files; HoYoverse recommends an SSD.
Pause the Genshin Impact download, close HoYoPlay, then right-click its system-tray icon and choose Exit so the launcher is no longer running. Reopen HoYoPlay and resume the download.

Watch for sustained download progress
Let the download run for several minutes instead of judging a single speed reading. Continue when the downloaded amount and percentage keep increasing; brief drops can occur while HoYoPlay processes files.

Remove other network traffic
Pause Windows updates, cloud backups, streams, and downloads on the PC and other devices sharing the connection. Resume the Genshin Impact download and check whether the sustained rate improves.

Try a wired or different connection
Use Ethernet when available, or connect the PC to another Wi-Fi network and restart the download. HoYoverse recommends switching networks when HoYoPlay downloads slowly or fails.

Check storage and repair a stalled download
Confirm the destination drive has enough free space and prefer an SSD when available. If progress stops or the update fails rather than merely slowing down, use HoYoPlay's Repair Now option, reopen the launcher, and resume.

Verify the game finishes and opens
The fix worked when the downloaded amount continues increasing, HoYoPlay completes installation, and the Genshin Impact button changes to Start Game. Launch the game once to confirm the installed files open.
If it does not work
If the download remains stopped after Repair Now, restart Windows and reinstall HoYoPlay only from the official HoYoverse site. Keep the existing game folder when the installer offers to locate it instead of deleting files manually.
For an unresolved HoYoPlay failure, open Settings > About > View Client Log and send HoYoverse Support the launcher version, time, provider, screenshot, and log. Do not download replacement launcher files from third-party sites.
