Fix Genshin Impact Failed to Connect on Mobile

Close Genshin Impact, disconnect any VPN or proxy, and switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data before reopening the game. If one connection works, restart or repair the connection that failed. If neither works while other apps are online, send HoYoverse Support your UID and a screenshot of the exact error.

Close the game and disconnect any VPN

Swipe Genshin Impact away from the recent-apps screen so it is fully closed. Disconnect any VPN or proxy, then reopen the game once.

Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data

If Failed to Connect returns, close the game again and change from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or from mobile data to a known-working Wi-Fi network. Reopen Genshin Impact after the phone shows the new connection is active.

Restart only the connection that failed

If mobile data failed, turn airplane mode on briefly and then off before reconnecting. If only Wi-Fi failed, restart the router and wait until the phone is online before launching Genshin Impact.

Verify that your server opens

Select the same Genshin Impact server and pass the login door. The fix worked when the game loads your character without showing Failed to Connect or Network Error.

If it does not work

If Wi-Fi fails but mobile data works, HoYoverse recommends checking the router firmware or contacting the internet provider if a router restart does not help.
If both connections work in other apps but Genshin Impact still fails, send HoYoverse Support the server region, time, mobile provider or Wi-Fi provider, UID, and a screenshot of the exact error.
