GeForce Experience Not Working? Switch to the NVIDIA App

NVIDIA no longer supports GeForce Experience. Uninstall it and install the current NVIDIA App from NVIDIA; if driver installation fails, finish Windows Update and use NVIDIA's documented clean-install path.
Confirm the product transition
NVIDIA states that GeForce Experience is no longer supported and directs users to the NVIDIA App, so repairing the retired client is not the current path.
Close NVIDIA applications
Exit GeForce Experience, games, overlays, and GPU monitoring tools, and save any open work.
Uninstall GeForce Experience
Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find NVIDIA GeForce Experience, choose Uninstall, and leave unrelated NVIDIA display components installed.
Restart Windows
Restart to release files and services held by the retired application, then sign back in normally.
Install the NVIDIA App
Download the NVIDIA App only from NVIDIA, run the installer, and open it after installation completes.
Install a compatible driver
Let the app identify the driver for the installed GPU and Windows version, install it, restart when requested, and verify the features you use.
