If you wish to rename your Free Fire character, navigate to your Profile section when tapping on your avatar on the top left of your screen. Tap on the settings icon in the Gallery tab.
Access your Free Fire Username Settings
If you wish to rename your Free Fire character, navigate to your Profile section when tapping on your avatar on the top left of your screen.

In your Basic account Player Info settings, you can see the Nickname option
In your Basic account Player Info settings, you can see the Nickname option.

Tap on it, and you will see that you can rename your character
Tap on it, and you will see that you can rename your character. This will in any case cost you some in-game currency. If you are getting the “Nickname Already Exists” error, use an invisible character behind your username in order to use it. Invisible Character: “ㅤ” This will make your username look like it’s the one you chose and the invisible character will not be shown when playing the game.
