Open Free Fire's Friends or Social screen, choose Add, and search for your friend's exact in-game nickname or numeric UID. Check the returned profile before sending one friend request. Your friend must accept it before you can invite them from the friend list.
Ask your friend to copy the numeric UID from their Free Fire profile. A UID is safer than a nickname because nicknames can contain unusual characters or look similar.

Open Friends or Social
From the Free Fire lobby, open the Friends or Social button near the top-right area. The icon and label can move after a game update, so look for the button that opens your friend list.

Choose Add
Open the Add tab or the search control in the friend screen. Keep the entire search inside the official Free Fire app.

Search the exact identifier
Enter the full nickname or numeric UID without extra spaces. Compare the name, avatar, level, and UID on the returned profile before continuing.

Send one friend request
Tap the Add Friend button once. Your friend must open their Friends screen and accept the pending request before the account appears as a friend.

Confirm the friend appears
Refresh or reopen the Friends screen after acceptance. If the correct account still does not appear, note both UIDs, the game version, region, and exact error before contacting Garena.
If no profile appears, copy and paste the numeric UID again and confirm both players use the same Free Fire version and regional service.
If Add Friend is unavailable, check for an already pending request, a full friend list, or a block on either account before sending another request.
Never share a password, one-time code, or social-media login to add a friend. Garena support can investigate with the account UID, nickname, region, and exact error.
